Carin Anderson, Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Retail Management for the Minnesota Wild, expressed excitement about the enhanced experience fans can expect. She highlighted the increased variety and availability of team merchandise both online and at the renovated Xcel Energy Center store. Fanatics plans to invest significantly in upgrading retail spaces at the arena, including stores, kiosks, and touchpoints, to optimize the shopping experience during events. This emphasis on unifying e-commerce and in-venue retail aims to provide a convenient and consistent shopping environment for all fans. With its licensed apparel partnership with the NHL, Fanatics will offer Wild fans an expanded range of team merchandise, including authentic and replica jerseys, fan apparel, and headwear. Starting this season, Fanatics becomes the NHL’s official provider for on-ice uniforms, allowing fans to purchase the same jerseys worn by players during games. The retail offerings will feature a mix of Fanatics-branded products and merchandise from popular brands like Mitchell & Ness, New Era, WinCraft, UNRL, SotaStick, and Levelwear. Ed O’Brien, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Fanatics, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing hockey’s importance in Minnesota’s culture. Fanatics aims to provide an unparalleled retail experience for Wild fans to celebrate the game and show their support for the team. Fanatics has been implementing upgrades and renovations to The Hockey Lodge, the Wild’s flagship retail store, in preparation for a grand opening event on September 21. This event will coincide with the launch of the new authentic and replica jerseys for fans to explore. The partnership makes the Minnesota Wild the third NHL team for which Fanatics handles both in-venue and e-commerce retail operations. The Wild now join other Minnesota-based sports organizations, such as the Timberwolves, Lynx, Vikings, and University of Minnesota Athletics, in partnering with Fanatics to enhance the fan shopping experience.
